Yay, the weather has turned and we are now allowed to be obsessing about Winter Weddings. Goodbye Summer and welcome open fires, hot chocolate and snuggly jumpers. Winter Wedding season is fast approaching and as I have mentioned before I love a Christmas Wedding. Everyone is already merry and it is a perfect time share your Wedding with your family and friends. It is also the most popular time to get engaged, with over 41% of couples getting engaged over the Christmas period.
So what is special about Winter 2017? We have noticed a real spike in requests for forest green, willow, emerald green and mink with Natural/Rustic themes still prominent for the season. Combine these earthy colours with rustic branch centrepieces and white background. Rich jewel themes from emerald to ruby and Amber, were also extremely popular on the catwalks for the season and look amazing against the backdrop of a Winters day. Accessories are also key for the bridesmaid market, with shawls and wraps being extremely popular. We offer chiffon shawls that perfectly match our dresses for £12 each.
Alternatively there are a number of fur cover ups on the market that look beautiful with our collections. Tracey and her bridesmaids look amazing with these little fur wraps and our pale pink Matchimony dresses.
Traditionally Winter weddings have been a more budget friendly option with lots of venues offering special promotions. The advancement in heating options has also meant that most venues are now open all year round and so are not restricted by weather conditions. We love a Winter barn wedding with log burners and decorated beams.
We love to hear about your wedding themes and colour scheme and so please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Lots of Love
