At the Matchimony office we love an award ceremony, all in the name of “research” we sit and ooh and ahh over the beautiful gowns and dapper menswear. The awards are a brilliant insight into the future trends in occasionwear and this year’s National Television Awards and Golden Globes were no exception.
White is no longer just reserved for the bride and was a huge trend at both the Golden Globes and National Television Awards. From Vicky Pattinson to Lady C outrageous Wedding dress, white brightened up a freezing night at the NTAs.
Whilst white might not be making a mark in the bridesmaid market soon, the ongoing trends for neutrals and blush colours is still huge. Champagne, soft cream and pale pink is a classic combo that is one of the most requested sample palettes that we get here at Matchimony. Another talking point of the National Television Awards was how amazing Suranne Jones and her bump looked in her one shoulder dress! As we have previously blogged, our one shoulder dress with it’s flattering silhouette looks amazing on pregnant bridesmaids and we will work with you to ensure the bump fits perfectly into the dress.
